The MediLabSecure project is implemented by a consortium of European institutions complementary and recognized in their field of expertise. Each partner supports participating countries to implement their diagnostic, surveillance, and control activities, through capacity building, intersectoral networking and awareness of One Health approach added value:

- Operations Unit at Pasteur Network leading the coordination and communication of the project

• Instituto Nacional de Investigación y Tecnología Agraria y Alimentaria - Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas (INIA-CSIC), Spain, leading the animal virology expertise

• French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD), France, leading the medical entomology expertise

• Istituto Superiore di Sanita (ISS - Italian national Institute of Health), Italy, leading the public health expertise

• Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale dell'Abruzzo e del Molise "G. Caporale" (IZS-Teramo), Italy, leading the veterinary expertise

• AVIA-GIS, Belgium, leading the Spatial Modelling & Disease Management expertise.

Our common objective is to support the participating institutions in 22 countries to strengthen their expertise and position at national and regional levels, through:

• capacity building,
• cross-sectoral and regional networking (both at expert and institutional levels), and
• promoting the added-value of "One Health" to ensure better surveillance and response to vector-borne disease threats.
